Analysis of temporal - spatial distribution Carbon monoxide gas in the atmosphere of Iran using Aqua/AIRS data

Considering the vital importance of air and the increasing trace of its contaminating factors, it is necessary to study the contaminating factors in order to be aware of the existing situation. The phenomenon of air pollution is one of the most important problems in many parts of Iran, due to several reasons, increasing the amount of it day by day. Carbon monoxide is one of the most dangerous pollutants in the air standard, due to the importance of its study, several techniques and methods for monitoring it in the atmosphere of the planet. The study also uses the AIRS Aqua Carbon Monoxide data, which provides an overview of the extent and trend of carbon monoxide gas changes in the world's atmosphere. The relevant data in the NetCDF format during the statistical period (2003-2018) was extracted from ttps://disc.gsfc.nasa.gov/datasets/AIRS3STM_006 and analyzed and analyzed using ArcGIS and Grads software. The results showed a decrease in the amount of carbon monoxide during the monthly and annual time series. Meanwhile, monthly and seasonal variations have been remarkable, with monthly carbon monoxide having the highest levels in January, February and March, and the lowest in August, September and October. Among the seasons, the highest and lowest levels of carbon monoxide were observed in the winter and summer, respectively. In spatially, the highest amount of surface carbon monoxide with an average of 150 ppb above the city of Tehran and the coastal area of ​​the Caspian Sea and its lowest level with an average of 115 ppb on the Zagros heights was observed.
